Our hearts are broken to share that our beloved daughter, Katherine Ann “Kate” Fornicola, born Katherine Ann Sullivan, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2025, and has returned peacefully to God’s loving arms.

Loving daughter and stepdaughter of Lisa (Edward) Villalobos and Michael Sullivan.
Beloved sister of Michael (Caroline) Sullivan, Ashley (Bob) Herman, and Jacob Villalobos.
Cherished niece of Doug Katocs, and Paula and Joe Derro, who held a special place in her heart.
Caring aunt and cousin of her nieces, nephews and many cousins, who will carry her memory forward with love.

Kate was a woman of remarkable spirit—creative, expressive, and deeply felt by all who knew her. A proud Navy veteran, she carried strength and resilience throughout her life. She was a gifted artist in every sense of the word, with natural talent in singing, dance, painting, and writing. Through her creativity, she shared pieces of her soul with the world.

Kate had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and was a passionate advocate for women’s rights. She stood firmly in her beliefs and cared deeply about the world around her.  She was also an exceptional cook and baker. Her food was not only delicious but also an expression of love. She found joy in creating something special for the people she cared about.  Those who knew Kate will never forget her radiant smile or the sound of her full, hearty laugh, which could instantly light up a room. Her presence was vibrant and unforgettable. 

Though her time here feels far too short, the imprint she left on the hearts of those who loved her will remain forever.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always.
