Kathryn Moll Obituary

In Loving Memory of Kathryn Jean Moll, nee Tymitz
Surrounded by family, Kathryn (Kay) J. Moll passed away following a short illness on December 10, 2021. She was born in 1935 to the proud parents Peter and Frances Tymitz and was followed by her brother, George Tymitz.

Kay attended Lincoln Elementary School, Waller High School and the University of Illinois at Navy Pier. She and Ronald Moll met in 1954, married in 1956, raised three loving children and had a wonderful marriage for 65+ years. Kay lived in Lincoln Park for over 80 years, was active in community and school organizations and loved her neighborhood. She had many roles in her career, with her last job handling medical record subpoenas at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Kay was an avid reader, enthusiastic gardener, creative seamstress and fastidious in all aspects of her life.
Upon retirement, Kay and Ron traveled to several places with her favorite trip being their 50th anniversary celebration in Vienna, Austria. For the last 14 years, they have wintered in Naples, Florida where they had joyous times together along with family and friends.
Ron knows he was a very lucky man to have met Kay, who was one in a million and the love of his life. She made an impression on all she met with her terrific personality and beautiful looks. She loved her family and friends and will be missed terribly by all.
Kay is survived by her husband, Ronald Moll, her children Randall (late Kathy) Moll, Susan Moll and Kathryn Moll, her granddaughter Jayne Royal, brother George Tymitz (Paula) along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kay’s celebration of life will be at a later date yet to be determined.
