Maria A. Martinez

age 84, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2023. Preceded in death by her husband Nicolas Martinez and son Armando Martinez. She is survived by three siblings as well as her nine children- Maria Luisa, German, Eva, Salvador, Nicolas, Leonarda, Arturo, Patricia, and Juan Jose. She was a grandmother and a great grandmother to many.

Maria was born on March 5, 1938 to Patricia Alonso in Cerritos, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She arrived in Chicago, IL on April 20th, 1971 establishing a residence in Pilsen for many years. She loved cooking for her large family, enjoyed fiestas, and loved sharing her beautiful voice while singing at parties and at church.

She leaves behind many memories and will be greatly missed.
