age 88 was born in Elek, Hungary-preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, the late Josefa; parents the late Martin & Theresia and fondest brother of the late Veronica Bigelow. He is survived by his children Christine, Anita, Eddy (Stefanie), and Martin J (Amy); precious Opa to Heidi, Eddy Jr., Kirsten, and Allison; wonderful uncle to nieces and nephews in Texas and Austria; memorable cousin of many in Germany and the US; also a very faithful friend. Martin was proud of his German-Hungarian ancestry. He was an active member of the Jolly Burgenlἂnder Club and a 50+ year member of the DANK chapter Chicago South. Martin was very instrumental in the building and maintenance of the German American Heritage Center located in Frankfort. His iconic presence will be greatly missed.
