age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Rudy was the beloved son of the late Henry L. Blake and the late Carmen (née Alarcon). He was the cherished husband of Lillian R. Blake (née Snyder), with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
A devoted father, Rudy leaves behind his loving daughter Pamela Escamilla-Busca and her husband Rick, and he is reunited in peace with his son, the late Mark (Patricia) Escamilla. He was a proud grandfather to Tracy, Tabetha, Cassy, Joshua, Jacob, and Joseph, and a joyful great-grandfather of eleven.
Rudy was a dear brother to Jeannette (the late George) Trayes, John Escamilla, Esther “Cookie” (Ken) Mau, and Edward Escamilla. He now joins in eternal rest his siblings, the late Robert (Lillian) Escamilla, the late Carmen “Tiny” Moreno, and the late Nancy Escamilla.
Known to many as "Papa ChiChi," Rudy had a warm smile, a generous heart, and a deep compassion for those in need. He was especially devoted to caring for the homeless, offering his time, resources, and most importantly, his dignity and respect to those often overlooked.
Rudy’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and service. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
